2-4 Day
rush pins are photodome pins. We take an exact image
of your art (if you don't have art we'll create
it for you) and print using a state-of-the-art digital
printer. We then apply an acrylic dome and cure the acrylic.
Other companies use epoxy because it's cheaper. However,
epoxy will yellow after a few years. Our acrylic will
not yellow. It costs us more to use acrylic but we do
it to give you a lapel pin that will look nice a few
years from now.
Our photodome lapel pins are made in the U.S.A. right
here at our plant in Ogden, UT.

Hard-Enamel
Cloisonné Pins
   
Hard-enamel
cloisonné pins are called by
many names. Some lapel pin manufacturers call them
new cloisonné,
semi-cloisonné, clois-tech, cloisonné II, epola,
hard-enamel and sometimes even just cloisonné. These
have been around for a couple decades and offer color
matching through
the Pantone
Matching System (PMS). Because cloisonné
only offers a small variety of colors, most people choose
hard-enamel cloisonné. Our

Authentic
Cloisonné
  
Centuries-old tradition of pin-making. Glass powders
are placed inside the metal lines and fired in an oven at over
1500 degrees. Authentic cloisonné pins
do not allow the same level of detail as hard enamel cloisonné pins.
Also, there are less than 150 colors to choose in making your

Soft-Enamel
  
These
pins have a slight "embossed" feel to them.
The enamel is slightly lower than the metal ridges. During
the manufacturing process, we're able to skip two steps so
the price
is lower than cloisonné or
hard enamel cloisonné.
We begin by striking your design into an iron or copper base
and then we plate to your specific plating requirement.

Die-Struck
  
Die-struck uses the same manufacturing
process as the soft enamel pins above. Color may be added or
the pins
can
be simply plated. The lion pin above is 3-D. 3-D is available
only in this type of process. Frequently, these pins are plated
in antique shading as shown in the first and third pin above. More .

Photo-Etched
  
The mold for photo-etched pins is made with chemicals.
Enamel color is then filled in the depressed areas to create
the pin. Usually, an epoxy layer is placed on top to give the
pin a smooth finish. The base of the pin is thinner than other
pins. A good choice when fine details are needed and cost is

Photo-Dome
  
Photo-dome pins take an exact reproduction of your
art and place it on a lapel pin. The art is printed and then
applied to a flat pin. Epoxy is placed over the printed paper
to create a beautiful lapel pin. If your art has color gradients,
photo-dome is the only method available to reproduce your art
